HSK-A-GER Tool Holder

HSK-A-GER Tool Holder
The difference between HSK A B C D E F type :

HSK toolholders are available in A, B, C, D, E, and F types, among which the A, E, and F

types are commonly used on machining centers (automatic tool changers).
The biggest difference between type A and type E is that type A has a transmission groove

while type E does not. Therefore, relatively speaking, type A transmits more torque and can

relatively perform some heavy cutting. The torque transmitted by E-type is smaller, and can only

carry out some light cutting. A-type shank in addition to the transmission slot, there are manual

fixing holes, directional grooves, etc., so it is relatively less balanced. And E type has none, so E

type is more suitable for high-speed machining.
The mechanism of E-type and F-type is exactly the same, and the difference between them is as follows.
For the same designation of E-type and F-type shanks, such as 63E and 63F, the taper of F-type

shanks is one size smaller. This means that the flange diameter of both 63E and 63F is 63, but the

taper of 63F is only the same size as that of 50E. So compared to the 63E, the 63F will spin faster because
of the smaller spindle bearing.
